Our Services for People with Disabilities team is searching for a dedicated, energetic full-time Program Supervisor in Ames. This position will be overseeing the Ames Marshalltown service area and will require travel to Marshalltown once a week. This position has the ability for a flexible schedule and some flexibility to work from home. Our Services for People with Disabilities wrap care around individuals across the state, from providing occasional respite care or weekly services, to 24/7 support in either a shared apartment environment or one-on-one care through our hourly supported community living (SCL) program. What You'll Do
The Program Supervisor oversees our Hourly Supported Community Living and Respite Care services, and is responsible for delivering the services and supervision of Direct Support Professionals, Caseworkers, and Respite staff. This role is responsible for:
- Developing and maintaining staff schedules
- Working directly with individuals to provide support, assistance, and instruction to help improve personal growth and independence
What You'll Need
High School Diploma or GED and five years of experience in human services, education or human services related field with 2 years being in a leadership position
OR Associates Degree and three years of related experience; with at least one year in a leadership role
OR Bachelor's Degree in a human services related field and one year of related experience
Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in a human services related field and one year of related experience.
This position requires a valid driver's license, auto insurance, a good driving record, and the ability to pass an extensive background check, including checks of the Dependent Adult and Child Abuse registries, the Sex Offender registry, and the criminal history check.
