What You’ll Do

As a Maintenance Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing and maintaining the mechanical production equipment. Your duties will include managing available resources, coordinating activities across various departments, and providing training and guidance to the workforce. Your primary objective is to uphold good manufacturing practices and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards. You will help maintain a safe and healthy work environment and ensure the production of high-quality products.

Key responsibilities

  • Contribute to plant performance as part of the Ames Leadership Team
  • Efficiently coordinate premix plant activities for production
  • Minimize equipment downtime through effective maintenance programs
  • Ensure timely product deliveries and maintain a safe workplace
  • Enforce compliance with DSM standards, including SHE/Quality, cGMP's, and ISO
  • Maintain plant condition, secure a skilled workforce, and oversee raw material deliveries for uninterrupted production 

You bring

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required, with a minimum of three years of related experience, while five years of experience are preferred
  • Preferred qualifications include a strong background in blend plant equipment knowledge and troubleshooting abilities in Feed Mill or Premix production
  • Proficiency in mechanical, electrical, and operational oversight is essential, coupled with expertise in weights and measurement systems
  • Proficiency in working with computers, computer systems, and computer-controlled equipment and systems is essential
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong leadership abilities, and exceptional organizational skills are crucial
  • Readily accessible and adaptable for extended work hours, occasional weekend commitments, and on-call availability outside regular maintenance hours
