Attention all land surveying enthusiasts! Do you love adventure, exploration, and precision? Are you the kind of person who always has a compass handy and can't resist making a mental map of your surroundings? We want YOU to be our next Crew Chief of a Surveying Team!

As our Crew Chief, you will lead a team of enterprising surveyors and assistants on field surveys, utilizing the latest technology, equipment and techniques to produce accurate and complete detailed maps and plans for construction and engineering projects. You will share your surveying secrets with our aspiring survey assistants and junior surveyors, inspiring them to be the best they can be

You will keep our state-of-the-art surveying equipment in tip-top shape, making sure it's always calibrated and ready for action.

And you will communicate with project managers and clients with charm and wit, making sure everyone is on the same page and that expectations are met.

The majority of travel allows you to return home at night. Overnight Travel is minimal. 

Requirements:

• A love of adventure, exploration, and precision
• 3-6 years of experience as a land survey crew chief or similar role, with a track record of success and innovation
• Expertise in surveying equipment and techniques, including GPS, total stations, and robotic instruments, as well as surveying software and CAD programs
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with a sense of humor that lightens up the field
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment, with a willingness to go the extra mile (or hike) to get the job done
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites as needed

Preferred Requirements - Associate's degree or completion of a technical trade school in CADD, drafting or related field, plus at least three years of related work experience; or any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
