Job Description:

ALMACO in Nevada, IA is seeking individuals with experience supporting customers.  We are looking for Client Support Technicians for our seed research equipment. Our Client Support Technicians are the first point of contact with clients if they need replacement parts, if their machines need preventative maintenance, or if they have questions about how their machine operates.

This position is a great fit for an individual who has a mechanical background or ag machinery experience but wants a job in a climate-controlled, office environment.

This position is a full-time position with flexible day shift hours.

Opportunities in this position:

  • You enjoy talking to people on the phone and enjoy puzzling out how to resolve the issues they describe.
  • You have a good understanding of potential mechanical issues and are comfortable talking through technical information with clients.
  • You understand the need to support the client at the highest level and delight the client in every interaction.

To excel in this position, you have:

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent is required, and an associate degree or Trade/Technical school certification is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
  • Experience using, maintaining, or trouble-shooting ag equipment is preferred, but any type of previous mechanical experience would be helpful.
  • Experience in electronics, mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics and/or  IT/Softeware are a plus. 
  • An excellent manner with clients so they feel appreciated, respected, and cared for.

Technical Requirements:

  • Valid Driver's License and a driving record that meets ALMACO standards for insurance purposes.
